Creating Trips Within a Service Request

Plan and create trips within a service request for effective consignment delivery

Planning trips can help companies save a lot in terms of fuel efficiency and can help save time by selecting optimised routes for consignment delivery. Planning trips is typically mapped to service requests in the ‘Doing’ stage of the Kanban Service Board. In the video below, we show you how you can plan a trip from within the service request:

In summary,

Access the Service Board and select a Service Request in the ‘Doing’ stage

Mark the task as an active task to assign the task to yourself 

Select the appropriate consignment under the ‘Manage Consignments’ section and click on ‘Create Trip’

Verify the pick-up and drop location details of the consignment selected and click on ‘Next’

Specify trip allowances, assign vehicles and field staff, and set a start and end time for the trip. Click on ‘Create Trip’
