If you are an Operations Manager or Business Owner we recommend to start your day here since it gives you a bird’s-eye view of your upcoming trips giving you the freedom to assign them as you see fit.

Anyone with access to create trips can schedule trips in batches to drivers. The Planning board helps you to optimize the whole process by providing you with all the required information you need.

Based on this, you can use various filtering options such as Service Date, Delivery Date, Pickup Location, Drop Location, Priority, and Customer to effectively and efficiently create and assign trips in bulk.

In summary,

If you have the necessary permission and trips are waiting to be assigned to drivers, the Perform Batch Plan button will be enabled (example below).

Click On Perform Batch Plan to see all the unplanned trips under that specific tracking type.

Click on the filter icon to display the various filters available. Based on these you will be able to segment the trips and assign them to respective drivers. You  can select more than one trip and assign them to a single driver (assuming the driver and vehicle are permitted to carry that consignment)

Once you have selected the trips, the Plan Trip button will be displayed. Click this to batch the trips together.

Next, you are provided with the option to re-arrange the pickup and drop off location. Here you can drag and drop the locations in the order you wish to pick up and deliver the consignments.

An example of the Trip Sequence tab is below.

You also have the option to view the consignments based on their location under the Locations Tab.

Allow Field Force (driver) to Reorder” is checked by default. This allows the driver to change the pickup and drop locations order. If it is unchecked, the driver can request the back-office person to re-order the route. This ensures you have sufficient control over the route taken to deliver the consignment.

Click “Next” to continue.

On the Next page, you can assign payouts that the drivers will receive for completing the delivery. You can also include surcharges for deliveries to incentivize the drivers to take up a priority delivery.

Next, choose the vehicle and the driver to whom you are assigning the trip and the time range within which the consignment must be delivered.

Click on Plan Trip to complete the planning.
