Configuring Permissions for your Customers

Effectively manage what is visible to your customers and how they interact with you.

Every Customer is not cut from the same cloth. Each and everyone of them is unique. Some are tech savvy, some are just starting out, Some want to get involved very deeply, some have a hands-free approach.

To accommodate all these, you can create various roles for your Customers with varied levels of access controls.

To start configuring, click on Configure to access the configuration settings.

Click on User Permission to start creating a new permission level for your Customers.

Here you will find default groups that have been already created for you. You can click on the pencil icon to edit the existing ones. Alternatively you can click on the Plus (+) Button to create new Customer roles.

From the Applicable for drop-down, choose Customer

By default the Customers will be able to view the Service Requests that you have created for them and receive notifications.

Under the Service Request View Rights, if the check-box is checked, then the Customer will have the right to create service requests from inside Boombirds (using their own login) and it will automatically be assigned to the relevant team(s) directly - saving time for you and your Customer!
