Workforce Form and Customer Form

Learn how to configure forms and fields to capture your customer and workforce details in Boombirds

Boombirds allows you to create your custom form to capture your employee's and clients' data. Now we will see how to configure it.

Go to, Configure > Workforce Form/ Customer Form

Both customer form and workforce form have similar features. Boombirds asks for minimal details when it comes to users. For the workforce, the minimal data is the name of the employee and one contact information. And for customers only the name of the customer is sufficient. All other details are optional.

You can add a new section of the form by clicking the plus (+) symbol under add a section option.

You can provide the details for the form. For example, I want to capture the Aadhar number and date of birth of the employees. So I provide the section name as ‘Other Details’ and label name as ‘Aadhar Number’. You can also select the type of field. (text/number/date and time/list).

You can make the particular field mandatory by enabling the red star. Once the details are filled in, select add.

To add a new field under the same section, you should select the plus (+) symbol on the ‘other details’ tab.

Now, fill in the details for the field and select add.

To add a new section, select the plus (+) symbol from the bottom right of the screen.

For example, I want to capture the previous employment details of the employee. Fill in the section name and the corresponding fields.

Boombirds allows you to customize the field type.

  • Number – This allows the user to enter only numbers

  • Text – This allows the user to enter alpha-numerical data

  • List – This allows the user to provide a preconfigured list of data. The user can choose the data from the dropdown list.

  • Date – This allows the user to choose a date from the calendar. You can also restrict from choosing previous date/ future date.

The same applies to the customer form.

Adding a New user:

Go to, Manage Users > Users > Workforce/Customers

When you add a new user (workforce/ customers) by selecting the plus (+) symbol from the bottom right corner of the screen, the form we configured for the employees will be available.
